Founded in 2011, Plug'n Drive is a non-profit organization that plays a crucial role in accelerating the transition to electric vehicles in Canada by providing information, resources, and practical experiences to encourage consumers to make more sustainable choices.
Their vision is to help Canada achieve its goal of 100% electric vehicle sales by 2035 or earlier.
The EVs are for EVeryone cross-Canada Tour is an initiative designed to promote the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) across Canada. The objective of this tour is to educate and raise awareness among Canadians about the benefits of EVs, provide them with the opportunity to learn more about this technology, and allow them to test drive different electric vehicle models.
Through the use of Mobile EV Education Trailers (MEETs) and EV Roadshows, Plug'n Drive strives to engage with as many communities as possible.
The MEETs are fully equipped installations that will set up in communities for 2 to 4 weeks, offering hands-on EV learning opportunities and test drives. They are hosted by local ambassadors who share their driving experience in a welcoming and pressure-free environment.
Two MEETS travel across Canada: one serves Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes, while the other travels through British Columbia, Alberta, and the Prairies.
We invite you to visit Plug’n Drive’s events calendar to find a MEET in your area and schedule a test drive.
The EV Roadshow, following the path of the cross-Canada tour, hit the road from the Meets for shorter and flexible events, lasting one to three days. They bring the EV experience and expert advice to rural, remote, and underserved areas, as well as festivals and conferences, with a pop-up tent, electric vehicles, and qualified ambassadors. The mission remains the same: to offer education and test drive opportunities.
